Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp oil
Amounts are scaled from the original 4 servings; cooking times may change for bigger batches.
Steps
- Sear the salmon in oil over medium-high heat 4 minutes, flip.
- Whisk soy sauce, honey, ginger, cornstarch and 2 tbsp water; pour in.
- Simmer 3-4 minutes, spooning the sauce over, until the salmon reaches 145°F.
Swaps
- Tamari or coconut aminos work in place of soy sauce (tamari is usually gluten-free; check the label).
- Use 1/4 tsp ground ginger for each 1 tsp fresh ginger.
- Maple syrup or sugar can replace honey (maple keeps it vegan).
Times are a guide; ovens and air fryers vary. Cook poultry to 165°F, ground meat to 160°F, and pork and fish to 145°F. Diet tags come from the ingredient list; check labels for allergens.
