DinnerStovetop20 minServes 4Dairy-free
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breast, sliced
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp oil
Amounts are scaled from the original 4 servings; cooking times may change for bigger batches.
Steps
- Whisk soy sauce, honey, cornstarch and 1/4 cup water.
- Stir-fry the chicken in hot oil 5-6 minutes until cooked through (165°F). Remove.
- Stir-fry the broccoli with 2 tbsp water 3-4 minutes until bright and crisp-tender; add the garlic for 30 seconds.
- Return the chicken, add the sauce and toss until glossy, 1 minute. Serve with rice.
Swaps
- Tamari or coconut aminos work in place of soy sauce (tamari is usually gluten-free; check the label).
- Maple syrup or sugar can replace honey (maple keeps it vegan).
- Turkey works the same way as chicken; cook both to 165°F.
Times are a guide; ovens and air fryers vary. Cook poultry to 165°F, ground meat to 160°F, and pork and fish to 145°F. Diet tags come from the ingredient list; check labels for allergens.
